Being a company that contributes to the quality of life
on an everyday basis, Krüger has a self-imposed commitment
to comply with certain values and guidelines.
This includes, for example, manufacturing according to
the strictest hygiene regulations, carefully selecting the
raw materials it uses to make its products, acting in accordance
with proper commercial principles, and taking
account of ecological aspects and the interests of the
Third World. With regard to hygiene and cleanliness, it
has developed its own standards that far exceed the legal
regulations. At its main plant in Bergisch Gladbach,
for example, it operates strictly according to the GMP
guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO) relating
to the manufacture of pharmaceutical products in
all matters of storage, processing and packaging. All the
company‘s buildings and manufacturing equipment comply
with these guidelines.
In raw materials processing, state-of-the-art laboratories
constantly monitor some 2,000 raw materials and,
if necessary, they can also call in the company’s special
microbiology sector. The entire production process is subject
to strict quality management according to IFS/BRC
standards, certified to DIN ISO 9001:2000, and supported
by constant in-process controls.
Some 500 different products leave the factories of the
Krüger Group every day with a total weight of up to
2,500 tons. Each of these products will bring a certain
well-being to the consumer.
